在借鑒國(guó)內(nèi)外《國(guó)際商法》英文版教材有益經(jīng)驗(yàn)的基礎(chǔ)上，《國(guó)際商法：原理與案例（英文版）》在編寫過程中力求做到如下幾點(diǎn)： 一是準(zhǔn)確闡述法學(xué)原理。學(xué)習(xí)國(guó)際商法，我們不僅應(yīng)知其然，更應(yīng)知其所以然。教科書上如果只是簡(jiǎn)單地羅列國(guó)際商事公約或慣例條文，而不闡述條文背后精神，無助于讀者準(zhǔn)確理解國(guó)際商事規(guī)則。因此，《國(guó)際商法：原理與案例（英文版）》在重點(diǎn)參考近年出版的國(guó)際商法、國(guó)際貨物買賣法、海上貨物運(yùn)輸法與信用證法領(lǐng)域的教材、專著與論文的基礎(chǔ)上，對(duì)相關(guān)法律制度背后的法理進(jìn)行了系統(tǒng)、準(zhǔn)確的闡述。而且，為了方便讀者進(jìn)一步深入學(xué)習(xí)，此書盡可能用腳注方式詳盡標(biāo)出了文獻(xiàn)資料來源，并在文末列出了主要參考文獻(xiàn)目錄。 二是原理與案例相結(jié)合。抽象的法律條文與原理解釋并不易于為讀者掌握。因此，此書在闡述各個(gè)法律制度原理之后，列舉或援引了國(guó)內(nèi)外經(jīng)典法院判決或仲裁裁決等500多起，以幫助讀者更為準(zhǔn)確地理解相關(guān)國(guó)際商事規(guī)則在司法實(shí)踐中是如何具體運(yùn)用的。此書所選案例來源廣泛，不僅有英、美、德等西方國(guó)家的經(jīng)典國(guó)際商事判例，而且有不少我國(guó)法院與仲裁機(jī)構(gòu)裁決的典型案件，在信用證法部分甚至援引了不少國(guó)際商會(huì)的意見。為便于讀者對(duì)案件判決推理有更深入的把握，此書特將200余起案件的案情及判決核心觀點(diǎn)用二維碼方式進(jìn)行了展示。

王金根，法學(xué)博士，泉州師范學(xué)院陳守仁商學(xué)院副教授，中國(guó)政法大學(xué)國(guó)際銀行法律與實(shí)務(wù)研究中心兼職研究員，美國(guó)佛羅里達(dá)大學(xué)、韋恩州立大學(xué)訪問學(xué)者。主要研究興趣集中于比較合同法、信用證法。出版專著《信用證不當(dāng)拒付損害賠償責(zé)任研究》（中國(guó)政法大學(xué)出版社，2021年，中國(guó)政法大學(xué)優(yōu)秀博士學(xué)位論文叢書）。在Berkeley Journal of International Law、Banking & Finance Law Review、The Banking Law Journal、Journal of International Banking Law & Regulation 以及Journal of Transnational Law & Contemporary Problems 等期刊上發(fā)表英文論文10余篇。擔(dān)任加拿大期刊Banking and Finance Law Review匿名審稿人。
