《佐拉·尼爾·赫斯頓小說(shuō)中的民俗文化研究》內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介:說(shuō)起自己的學(xué)術(shù)之路,首先,我要感謝我的博士生導(dǎo)師、上海外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)的虞建華教授。是虞老師給了我繼續(xù)深造的機(jī)會(huì),給了我實(shí)現(xiàn)自己人生夢(mèng)想的舞臺(tái),也是虞老師不經(jīng)意的一句話為迷茫的我指明了前進(jìn)的方向。2004.年的那個(gè)春天,白玉蘭盛開的季節(jié),我平生**次走進(jìn)了夢(mèng)寐以求的上海外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)去參加博士生入學(xué)考試,**次見到虞老師就被他和藹可親的笑容和話語(yǔ)深深打動(dòng)。在為數(shù)眾多的考生中,我是幸運(yùn)的。2004年的那個(gè)秋天,桂花飄香的季節(jié),我滿懷希望地走進(jìn)了上外美麗寧?kù)o的校園。求學(xué)的機(jī)會(huì)來(lái)之不易。重回求學(xué)生涯的我如饑似渴地汲取著知識(shí)的甘露。虞老師的博學(xué)多識(shí)、循循善誘如潤(rùn)物的春雨,滋潤(rùn)著我不斷地成長(zhǎng)。

A numoer ot mese peopletook drastic measures to escape the feelings of exclusion and passedfor white by means of their physical appearance, thus rejecting theirblack identity. The ex-colored man in James Weldon Johnson's novelfor instance, is a case in point. As a young boy, Johnson's proudanti-hero has never put the question of race in his mind because hehas always considered himself as white before an insensitive whiteteacher classifies him otherwise. The failure of the protagonist ofJohnson's novel to admit kinship with the black community leads tohis final alienation from Afro-Americans.African Americans' anxiety over their racial identity wasexacerbated by the Migration of the Negroes from the Southern ruralcommunities to the Northern industrial cities. Without the ruralSouthern genesis, blacks in the new environment of Northern urbancenters seemed to come from nowhere. Since the Great Migrationfrom the South, blacks have often been taken as an urban problem,a view that erodes Afro-Americans' self-esteem and denies theircollective history. Some of Hurston's contemporaries among theblack literati maintained that the black folk music and behavior wereundignified and therefore became an impediment to the elevation ofthe race. They strived to behave more like the whites than the whiteswho flocked to the clubs and cabarets to be entertained by blackswhose performance based on Southern black folk traditions wasregarded and enjoyed as something alien and exotic. 張玉紅,1972年生,河南太康縣人。文學(xué)博士,碩士生導(dǎo)師,河南大學(xué)外語(yǔ)學(xué)院副教授。1989—1996年就讀于河南大學(xué)外語(yǔ)學(xué)院英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)專業(yè),1993年獲文學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位,1996年獲文學(xué)碩士學(xué)位并留校任教。2008年在上海外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)獲文學(xué)博士學(xué)位后回河南大學(xué)任教。2009年2月進(jìn)入河南大學(xué)外語(yǔ)學(xué)院外國(guó)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)博士后流動(dòng)站。本人主要從事英美文學(xué)研究,尤其是英美戲劇研究。近年來(lái)發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文10余篇,并主編或參編了教參3部,另主持或參加省級(jí)、廳級(jí)、校級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目近10項(xiàng)。
