The author depicts Shallo’s growth under the care of his father after her parents’ divorce with delicate words. The whole story is with an air of light blue, but Shallo’s perseverance and kindness, as well as her protection and love to Nature, will move every reader deeply. Xue Tao’s inspiration comes from the land he lives. With elegant words and sincere feelings, he creates a small fortress for children themselves.

薛濤，中國(guó)作家協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員，中國(guó)作協(xié)兒童文學(xué)委員會(huì)委員。主要作品有《小城池》《白銀河》《九月的冰河》等。作品曾獲陳伯吹兒童文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)、冰心兒童文學(xué)新作獎(jiǎng)、宋慶齡兒童文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)、全國(guó)優(yōu)秀兒童文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)、國(guó)家文化部蒲公英獎(jiǎng)、中國(guó)人口文化獎(jiǎng)等多項(xiàng)文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)。 Xue Tao is a member of the China Writers Association and the Children’s Literature Committee of the China Writers Association. His works include The Small Fortress, White Milky Way and Ice Water in September, etc. He has won the Prize of the China Writers Association for Excellent Children’s Literature, the Soong Ching-Ling Prize for Children’s Literature, the New Prize of the Bing Xin Prize for Children’s Literature, the Chen Bochui Prize for Children’s Literature, the Dandelion Prize of the Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Population and Culture Prize.
