本書以烹飪常用詞匯為主線，涉及10個方面的內(nèi)容，包括蔬菜、水果、小吃、肉類、調(diào)料、烹飪用具、烹飪手法、干果蜜餞、海鮮、飲料等，并配上相應(yīng)的圖片。全書共分10個單元，每個單元以上面其中一個方面的單詞為主，配以日常用語及對話、重點單詞用法、英文菜譜。每個單元后都有自我評價、生詞表。書后附有中文菜品名譯成英文菜品名的常用方法、酒店各部門的英文名稱及*常用禮貌用語，以方便學(xué)生實際運用。每個單元中配有大量的練習(xí)以方便學(xué)生記憶和運用。針對學(xué)生不同的程序及學(xué)生將來工作的需求，在一些菜譜后增加了圖片以便學(xué)生復(fù)述，并在后兩個單元采用了兩篇商品說明。修訂后的本書，增加了二維碼輔助教學(xué)，為學(xué)生提供了新的學(xué)習(xí)形式。
